Lincoln Park Wine Bar opened in August of 2012 on ‘restaurant row’ in San Anselmo. Started by local culinary celebrity, Stephen Simmons, Lincoln Park’s menu reflects his decades of experience crafting a great dining establishment.

Executive Chef & Owner

His love for food and cooking started with his grandmother and grew through education at the City College of San Francisco and an internship with Executive Chef Jeremiah Tower and Chef Marc Franz. He quickly rose as a Bay Area culinary celebrity working at The Stanford Court Hotel; and as Executive Sous Chef at Campton Place under Bradley Ogden; Executive Chef at Casa Madrona Hotel and Restaurant, Sausalito; and Opening Chef and Chef de Cuisine for One Market Restaurant, San Francisco. He was nationally recognized as Rising Star Chef by the James Beard Foundation. Stephen partnered with Bradley Ogden as Opening Chef de Cuisine at the nationally recognized Lark Creek Inn. Chef Simmons next ventured on his own; he purchased and revitalized a local Marin property creating Bubba’s Diner a popular San Anselmo comfort food restaurant. He has worked as manager of food operations at Skywalker Ranch for the past 12 years.

Wine Director & Owner

Holly grew up in a wine family in the Bennett Valley region of Sonoma County. Her fond memories of helping her dad on their family-owned vineyard are the backdrop for how she chooses the wines for Lincoln Park. ‘Watkins Family Wines’ provides Lincoln Park with some of the crowd favorites and is owned and produced by her brother Randall, a notable wine maker for several other small production wineries as well. 12 years ago Holly started the wine tasting event at the Fairfax Festival, the largest of it’s kind whose mission is to feature sustainably produced wines. Holly’s strong sense of community has made it natural for her to partner with local wine makers when deciding what to pour at Lincoln Park. It is this sense of community that inspired her to create the Guest Bartender give back program.

Named after the neighborhood directly behind us, it has been our pleasure getting to meet the people who make the community what it is as well as hosting those who venture from afar. Over the past few years we are proud to have stayed true to the goals we set out to achieve. We provide friendly and knowledgeable service in a casually upscale environment.  We gently push San Anselmo to experience something a little less predictable with our unique take on the preparation of locally sourced ingredients. We pour superbly crafted wines that represent the new generation of winemakers; innovative artisans, each with their own story. We focus on local and sustainable but always feature a wide selection of unique varietals for the adventurous as well as the tried and true favorites.
